Will I have to take a drivers test at age 65, and does having a ticket 4 years ago matter ?

When re newing my drivers license in April (age 65), will I have to take a test, either written or other and does having a ticket in 2008 on this present license make any difference as to whether I have to take a test ?

Here's what I found on Illinois website, it looks like because of your traffic citation you will be required to take and eye screening test and and written driving test.

How often will I have to be tested to keep my driver's license?

A driver is required to take a written test at least once every eight years if traffic convictions have occurred. Everyone must have his or her vision screened when applying for a renewal, with the exception of Safe Driver Renewals. All persons age 75 or older must take a driving test at each renewal. Drivers age 81-86 must have their licenses renewed every two years, while persons age 87 and older must renew annually. The Driver's License section on our web site has comprehensive information.
